Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Quaint pizzeria! Met up with family for lunch. Having never eaten here we decided to give it a try. We thought there was plenty on the menu to choose from. If you can't find what you're looking for simply special order your pizza! We had the seasonal salad special: Harvest Salad Field Greens with Figs, Applewood Bacon, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, and Boursin Cheese, tossed with our Apple Cider Vinaigrette (minus the bacon). It was delicious! The half order is plenty if you're also ordering pizza which the hubster and I did. We decided on the 11" pizza, except he wanted one pizza and I wanted another. No problem! Half caprice and half wild mushroom ~ perfect! The dough is wonderful. We would definitely come here again ~ and apparently that's the feeling from others as there was a steady line the whole time we were there. We started with lunch and welcomed in the dinner crowd!

Dewey's Pizza is awesome. Just learned today that you can buy just their dough and make your own pizza at home, which we will def. have to try in the future. I think their toppings and combinations are great. The Green Lantern is on my bucket list. I can never pull the trigger with the goat cheese. Anyone have any comments on the GL? My wife and I love this place and have made it a family tradition to celebrate birthdays here! You get to keep a commemorative "D" glass for your big day

Our first visit. The servers were incredibly helpful and attentive. The Greek salad was delicious, especially the house Greek dressing. We ordered three different pizzas and a calzone. All were wonderful. I especially liked the white sauce combined with pesto and sun dried tomatoes. Our drinks were kept full and we didn't have to wait for boxes or our bills. We have definitely found our new pizza place! We will be back!!
(5)Madeline A.
I found Dewey's via Yelp, so thank you to all the Yelpers giving them great reviews because it was amazing! I ordered take out from Dewey's and made my own calzone. I really liked how you could choose up to three topping to put inside (instead of most places only let you do one and charge extra for more)! The calzone was huge and still hot when I brought it home. The girl on the phone was professional and I was quickly helped when I went to pick up my order! I will definitely be back!!
(5)Donald R.
Wow! Dewey's was outstanding! The wife had Blank Slate's Out & About Crisp Wheat, she loved it. I had Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan Brown it was really good. The wife had the seasonal Blueberry almond salad she love it. I had the Greek salad. Yummy! The wife had the 1/2 Bronx Bomber & Edgar Alan Poe with Amish chicken. She said it was sooooooooo gooooood! I had the 1/2 Cuban and the 1/2 Bronx bomber. The Bronx Bomber was outstanding and the Cuban was very interesting, but very good. The crust and the sauce was so good. They use fresh ingredients. There is not a freezer on the premises. We would definitely come back and recommend Dewey's to everyone that will be passing through or coming through this part of Kentucky.
(5)Maricris D.
Great pizza! I had the seasonal one with white sauce, prosciutto, and topped with arugula (after it's already cooked). They have this tangy sauce on it as well which gives it a nice flavorful kick! The service was great and I would definitely come back if I ever visit Cincinnati again.
(5)Renee M.
We love the quality ingredients, creative combinations and depth of flavor here. Salads aren't just you're typical salad options. Customer service here is consistently AMAZING, too. Tonight I carry-out ordered a gluten free pizza and didn't ask for cheese on a make-your-own but didn't specify no cheese. I can't have cheese, so they happily remade it for me - totally my mistake. The manager even met us in the parking lot to give us the new one! I already know my order is high maintenance, but they had a good attitude about it. I don't expect restaurants to have offerings that will work with my dietary constraints, but they do...and great service to go with it.

I received recommendations from a friend of mine, and my dad was also told to visit. We all had calzones, and they were probably the best tasting calzones I've had. The ricotta cheese seemed to make the difference there. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they really seemed to be having a good time. The atmosphere was a little loud, but I would definitely go back.

Quick trip to Cincy with my mom and decided to stop for lunch. Pulled up my handy Yelp app and scratched all "chains" in search of something different. Up pops Dewey's. We gave it a shot. So so so happy we did. Amazing service from jump. Server took the time to explain the red and white pizzas, the seasonal selections (one pizza and one salad), and was super friendly. He explained that Dewey's is actually technically a chain... But by this point I didn't care. I was so in to the descriptions of the unique pizzas that it was hard to narrow it down to one half and half for mom and me. We decided to do one half "red" -- the Green Lantern -- and one half "white" -- Socrates' Revenge. Green Lantern goodness: red sauce, mozz, minced garlic, goat cheese, artichokes, pesto. Yum. Socrates' Revenge: olive oil, minced garlic, mozz-fontina blend, spinach, black olives, green olives, feta, red onion, tomatoes. SO good. Usually the crust is a "throw away" for me ... But not at Dewey's. They make their dough from scratch and it shows. Light and almost buttery -- I could not get enough. Wow. Not to be forgotten, we split the Grape Walnut salad -- and it was super tasty. Rumor has it that the calzones are also amazing here... On my list to try. Our server mentioned they may expand to Indy as they also have places in St. Louis. I will totally frequent Dewey's if this is the case. So so so good!

First time visiting Dewey's while moving my son in at NKU. My family arrived at lunch to a little wait, maybe 5 minutes. We ordered a 17" Bronx Bomber and an 11" Pepperoni. Upon arriving to the table, the server told us that they were not pleased with the overdone pepperoni pizza and would take care of it. A few minutes later a fresh pizza arrived with no charge for either. Great service, food, and ingredients.
(5)Terry B.
Very good pizza and salads. It also has a nice craft beer selection from several local breweries.
(4)Phil K.
Dewey's has very good thin crust pizza. Good beer selection. Good salads. We have always had very friendly service. Only problem is, there is a HUGE WAIT from Thursday to Sunday. So either go Monday or Tuesday night, or enjoy your wait (outside, as the waiting area is overflowing).
(3)The Mad Yelper S.
Green Lantern... I love you! The flavors on this pizza are amazing and the crust is wonderful. I usually hate crust. I've had other pizzas from here as well and they usually don't disappoint. If you haven't tried it, you should. :)

The husband, my mom and I found ourselves without reservations or any plans for dinner on a Saturday night on a recent trip to Cincinnati/KY. There were a few places that were high on the list but without a reservation or waiting for hours it wasn't going to happen. We finally all decided on pizza, which was a good step in the right direction. Trusting my Yelping skills, it was left to me to find us some good pizza. So glad I chose Dewey's. It was exactly what we were looking for that evening...casual, fun, and very tasty! What we had: pizza and salad of course, as those are pretty much the only choices available. But I'm good with that...if it's not broke, don't fix it! The three of us split a peppercorn ranch salad. The large salad is def made for sharing. The ranch dressing was very tasty....so much so that I wouldn't let the waitress take away the extras because it just begged for my pizza crust to be dipped in it. We shared two pizzas - one more traditional with sausage and mushrooms and one non-traditional - the tito santana, which was the seasonal pizza. It was basically a taco salad on a pizza crust and it was awesome. They offer several desserts from the local bakeries in the area, and although we shouldn't have, we did. I mean really, pizza crust dipped in creamy ranch dressing kinda means you're not really worrying about calories anyway, right? The dessert was a creamy chocolate torte. Delish!
(4)Rachel G.
I'm such a pizza snob. I'll really eat anything, but if I really enjoy it is a different story. Not a huge tomato sauce fan and prefer garlic and olive oil. I also like the "gourmet" ingredients; sundried tomatoes, artichokes, prosciutto, etc. Deweys offers my favorites, and the fact its a chain and I still like it, gets added points.
(4)Big Ass Kid D.
Went in after work with my mother we ordered a couple pies (Cheese/Pep) and (Caprice) the Cheese/Pep was under cooked and the Caprice had way to much garlic on it which we're very big fans of. The service was ok nothing special and not like we have had in the past. I didn't get my money's worth this trip that's for sure. Dewey's was on my list of good pizza spots in the Tri-State but now has fallen into the Larosa's category of inconsistent places to eat...
(2)Carolyn J.
Awesome pizza, love the strawberry Macademia nut salad and you need to try the chocolate cream torte cake!
(5)Nolan B.
In my opinion Dewey's and this one in particular is the best restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area. The crust alone beats all the rest. The salads are simple but wonderfully crafted and the service is unyieldingly reliable and unbeatable.
(5)Andy H.
This place is simply awesome. I once emailed them just to suggest that they consider adding the Porky Fig pizza as a permanent menu item. They responded with a hand written note and $25 gift card to thank me for taking the time to write and being a loyal customer. Only once has the service been an issue and they comped the order and gave me a $25 gift card. I will return often!!
(5)Allison B.
If I had to pick only one place to eat pizza for the rest of my life it would be Dewey's...hands down. It's a little pricier than I'd like but you definitely get what you pay for! It's a great place to go for a family dinner out. It gets pretty crazy on the weekends, I'm sure if the had a bigger dining room, they could still fill it. The pizza is always great as is the service.
(4)Cameron W.
Love this place! The service at this one is always much friendlier than the Newport one. Great salad and pizza! And local beers!
(5)Paul D.
Funny...but my favorite item on Dewey's Pizza menu is the Peppercorn Ranch salad. Love it. Just a quick "thanks" to the folks at the Crestview Deweys. The food is always good, the service is fast, and the service is friendly. I had a carry out for lunch today and it was ready as I walked in. OK...my second favorite thing on the menu are the many choices of great beers. The pizza is pretty awesome too!!
(4)Glenna M.
Dewey's never lets me down. For the pizza that is. The service is so-so at both locations I've been to. But I love that you can do half and half orders. They will automatically put lemon in your soda without asking, so you may want to curb that from the get-go if you are anti-lemon like me. The seating is good, the lighting not so much. If you sit at a booth, someone has designed the table lamps so the bare bulb is right at eye level. Caution: may cause temporary blindness. Moving on. The pizza is delicious. My fav is the white sauce with pesto, kalamata olives and smoked cheddar. It's a party in my tummy every time. If you are extra hungry start with a salad, they are delicious too. There are a billion choices for pizza in the area but Deweys comes up for us at least once a month.
(4)Patti D.
Oh my. The specialty pizza, Porky Fig, is wonderful and I highly recommend it while it's around. The pizza consisted of fig preserves; caramelized onions; prosciutto; cheeses, including gorgonzola,...it was a great combination of sweet and salty. I hope to catch it again before it goes away.
(5)Jessica S.
I love pizza that is well-made and creative. Dewey's nails the latter, but definitely not the former. I've had Dewey's pizza twice, each at a different location. This spot in the Crestview Towne Center is no different in quality than the other I had been to: creative pies with awesome toppings... served room temperature. I don't understand how from being made to being at our table can result in our pies not being hot. Maybe I love my pizza to be burn-the-roof-of-your-mouth HOT! and maybe that's the New Yorker in me, but I have yet to be completely satisfied by Dewey's at this location or at others.
(3)Travis F.
Dewey's calzones have ruined me for calzones anywhere else. They are huge, and full of awesome toppings. I've never gotten a bad calzone here. The service is always fast and friendly at this location. Hardly ever a wait for a table. The pizza is good. I won't say it's better than pizza anywhere else, but it's never bad. I do like that they have a wider variety of toppings. I never would have thought to get pine nuts on a pizza, but they were delicious.
(4)Matt J.
I grew up in the Northeast US which, in my humble opinion, is pizza heaven. I moved to Kentucky and found that I miss pizza because the stuff that many places serve just wasn't cutting it. Then I found Dewey's and my life (when it comes to pizza, at least) will never be the same. Great crust, great toppings (I had a Ryan's Inferno which is buffalo chicken...my mouth is currently watering just thinking about it), great atmosphere, great service. This isn't 30 minute delivery pizza...this is pizza that must be enjoyed and savored. There's a small selection of beer and great salads. Go. Stop what you're doing and go to Dewey's. It's lunch time right now...I'm not even going to finish this revi...

Being a fan authentic New York style pizza and living in the Cincinnati area is challenging at times to find a good slice or pie. So I decided to try Dewey's out while shopping over in Crestview Hills and it was good! I ordered a cheese pie and smashed and would eat here again... djskillz.com

Surprisingly good, creative pizza and salad. Deafening din, unfortunately.
(4)S W.
Our favorite pizza place. We lived up on the harvest salad then BBQ chicken pizza and the Bronx Bomber. Awesome. Service here is always good. The wait is always the down side, the waiting area is small, wait is usually long.
(4)Jed B.
Good pizza. We had the Poe and one with mushrooms. They were wonderful. Great service as well. Would have liked to see eggplant on the pizza topping menu. It was my first time at Dewey's. Hope them expand.
(4)Aaron S.
Grabbed lunch here around noon and had a great experience. A friend and I easily shared their 13" Southwest BBQ Chicken pizza and each had a Bell's Oberon beer for lunch. The lunch hour was seat-yourself and the service was prompt and courteous. The pizza here has never let me down and I would recommend it if you need a quick place to go for lunch. Split the pizza and had a beer for $14/person before tip.
(5)Robin D.
The best pizza. Fantastic salads too. I prefer the "white sauce" pizzas over the red sauce. In fact, I tend to prefer red sauce pizza such as LaRosa's over Dewey's red sauce. However, I would take Dewey's white sauce pizza over any other pizza in Cincinnati.
(5)Ryan B.
This is my go-to Dewey's location, and not only because I work near here. I can count on good service, a varied and ever-changing beer selection, and always delicious pizza and salads. Yeehaw! My favorites are Hawaiian, Southwestern BBQ Chicken, pepperoni, and white sauce pizzas.
(5)Jason B.
Dewey's is quite simply the best pizza in Cincinnati, and maybe in the entire Midwest. They don't make the mistake so many restaurants do, loading their menu with three pages of crap they can't hope to make properly and consistently. You can get a salad, a pizza, or a calzone. That's it. Choose a specialty pizza or make your own from their extensive list of standard or gourmet toppings. They have seasonal salads and seasonal pizzas that change relatively frequently, and are always a bit quirky. The crust is medium to thin in thickness with just the right amount of chewiness. Both the red and white sauces and flavorful and the toppings are always fresh and loaded up. The salads are really great, too; try my favorite, the House: mixed greens, goat cheese, pine nuts, cranberries, balsamic - it's divine. Oh, I almost forgot to mention their beer selection. They always have several local beers on tap (normally a Rivertown or a Mt Caramel) and they change their list up on a regular basis so there's always something new to try. Craft staples like Bells, Dogfish, Schlafly, Victory, Smuttynose, Founders, and Rogue are in heavy rotation. The only downside is coming here for lunch and not being able to order a beer because I'm headed back to the office. Service at Dewey's is maybe best described as swarm-style. Any server can and will bring drinks, take orders, get refills, and settle up. In general, this means there's always someone nearby to help out if you are in need. Great food, great beer, and service modeled after a zerg rush. What's not to love?
(5)Adrian C.
I give deweys 5 stars over other places like mellow mushroom foe thee main reasons: 1. Consistently great service 2. Consistently great food 3. Price Deweys always has friendly staff and is kid friendly, with quick food after ordering (a must with hungry tots). Plus, the crust is thin but the end is soft and fluffy like a yeast roll. The topping selection is bar none as well. As for salads, amazing and fresh. Best part is you can go on a date and spend around $25 and leave with leftovers.
(5)Robert S.
Never had a bad experience or a pizza that I didn't like. The calzones and salads are excellent also. I have now had every salad they offer and they are all good. The pizza crust is A-one,not too heavy, not too thin. The pepperoni may be a little spicier than a lot of other places but certainly not a deal-breaker. The places tend to get pretty busy at premium restaurant times and you may encounter a wait. The bar area is small but carries a decent selection of craft beers on tap Service has always been excellent.
(5)Louie R.
While wandering around this alien land, I asked my boss "hey, what are you craving for dinner?" And my boss said, "hey holmes, I'm craving pizza, yo." So I pulled out Yelp and read the reviews on this place. I saw that they were decent, so decided to come here. When we walked inside, we noticed there was a ton of people. The wait was 35 minutes and I was starving, but we decided "hey, since there are this many people around, it must be worth the wait." When they sat us, we were impressed with how nice everyone was. We ordered a 17" pizza, half bacon/pepperoni/mixed mushrooms and half feta cheese/pepperoni/red peppers. This pizza was amazing! It was almost heart-stoppingly-breath-taking. It was beautiful! It really was. What I really enjoyed, though, was how quick the waitresses returned to refill drinks! I would recommend this place. It is amazing!
(5)Ryan P.
I've been here many times and have never had a bad experience. The only part that can be a let down is having to wait for a table. Because of that, I tend to plan my trips here ahead of time, and usually show up just before the dinner crowd hits. I pretty much get the same thing every time: a side house salad and the southwest BBQ chicken pizza. The salad ingredients are always fresh, and the mix of the tangy dressing with the goat cheese, pine nuts, and cranberries is wonderful. The pizza always has the perfect crust and correct ratios of sauce and topping, it's a really good balance. Occasionally I'll try one of the seasonal pizzas or salads, and they're always a hit. To drink, there's always a great selection of craft beers on tap. I always have a hard time making decisions, but a wheat beer tends to pair well with the house salad, while an IPA or pale ale goes great with any of their pizzas. The service is always fast and friendly. I never have to wait for water or beer refills, and the staff will really go out of their way to make an accommodation. The prices can be just a little on the high side, but you really are getting a good value. Don't forget to order extra when you come here too, because the pizza really reheats well in the oven. For a great combination of beer and pizza, you really can't beat Dewey's.
(5)Mike W.
What can be said about Dewey's? It's pretty much universally seen as a "younger, but still cool" kind of pizza parlor. They have a great selection, consisting of some more unusual toppings and ingredients that you won't find at your local Dominos. I like the goat cheese, myself. Dewey's pizzas definitely do not have that "mass produced" sort of taste. Everything tastes fresh, because it was made fresh. That can be a bit of a double eged-sword though, because you pay a small premium. My suggestion: get a calzone. They're significantly cheaper, and are practically two meals by themselves. I prefer this Dewey's over the other on the Levee as it's much less crowded, more convenient, and the service faster. Of course if you're already at the Levee, might as well check out their location there. Pardon me - I have a calzone to eat.
(4)Cathy R.
Like Karina mentioned, the entrance is in a funny place, but that doesn't seem to keep the place from being busy on a weekday at noon. I didn't have to wait for a table, but those behind me probably had to choose whether to wait for a booth or table or sit at the bar. I thought the Caprice pizza was one of the best I have had. Fresh tomato slices, garlic, olive oil, basil and fontina-mozzarella cheese on a hand tossed crust. The house salad is excellent, too, with pine nuts, goat cheese and cranberries. Like I said, it's a busy place which means it's kind of noisy. But the service is good and the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes.
(4)Foodie T.
I usually love Dewey's pizza and the service is usually very good. The Crestview Hills location usually gets the food right but the service has been lacking. On my last visit our server would just drop the food and leave to return only at the very end of the meal asking if we needed refills on drinks. On the other hand, the servers trying to clear plates hovered over us. None asked if we needed a refill, just whether we were finished. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but for most of the time we were waiting for a table, there were as many people waiting for tables as people seated and eating. They saved a big table for a large party. I don't think all the people in the party ever arrived. Go to Dewey's for the good and creative pizza. Just go to a different location.
(2)Nick H.
Great pizza, limited menu doesnt offer typical extras like wings and bread sticks, but does offer a lot of different toppings.
(3)Sarah D.
This is the best pizza I've ever had. Eat it. Love it. Live it.
(5)T. J.
Kind of a "upscale" Pizza joint. Great Pizza, Great salads and Great scenery but dont expect to get wings, garlic bread or bread sticks. Nice selection of Beers and one of the best Pizzas you can buy in NKY!
(4)Frank P.
Nice upscale pizza place. Not the best I have ever had but inventive toppings and a friendly staff make it worth more then 1 trip.
(3)Karina M.
Don't be a confused first-time visitor like we were. The entrance is not in the front (as one would logically expect) but on the side facing Dillards. Dewey's pizzas are some of the best in the area, with a near-perfect crust and gourmet toppings. I love that all pizzas can be split with two different sets of toppings on them. We went with the Hawaiian and Bronx Bomber (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and black olives). Their salads are as yummy as their pizzas. The side salad is really large enough to be an entree, so if you plan to eat pizza you may want to share a side salad with a friend. The Regular salads can be split as an entree between two people or as a side salad among three or four folks. My personal fave is the Peppercorn Ranch.
(4)Betsy H.
Love the white sauce pizza. My husband and I went to Dewey's looking for something to measure up to the amazing pizza of the Wine Bar in Rome. Close as we have found in the Cincinnati/Northern KY area. The place is small. The service is okay. But the pizza is great. We had half and half pizza, serviced hot and just as ordered. The mushrooms were clearly fresh, the spinach recently pulled from Popeye's arms. TINY bar, the table lamps are annoying buy if you can suck it up and pull the plug or unscrew the bulb, it makes the night more pleasant. Enough sports on the Multi TVs to keep the manly men happy. Salads as big as your face to keep everyone happy. Great food. I hope your looking for a bigger space!
(4)A A.
This has got to be the most overrated pizza place ever. The crust is so-so and the toppings are what you'd find at your local Papa Johns. I'm still trying to find out how this place is so highly rated. You can do much better at Chinnatis (underrated deep dish), Mios, Werkhaus, or Betta's to name a few.
(2)
